Serve Your Local Church. Grow in Faith. Make an Impact.

Are you a Liberty University student looking for a meaningful way to fulfill your CSER service requirement? At our church in Lynchburg, Virginia, we welcome students who want to serve the local church, invest in their community, and grow in their walk with Jesus Christ.

We believe serving the church is more than completing a requirement. It is an opportunity to use the gifts God has given you, encourage others in their faith, and become an active part of the body of Christ.

Whether you are looking for a place to serve, gain ministry experience, or build meaningful relationships within a local church, we would love to connect with you.

How You Can Serve

There are many ways to support the ministry of a local church. Depending on your interests, abilities, and our current needs, opportunities may include:

  • Church Ministry Support: Help with practical tasks that support the weekly life and ministry of the church.

  • Sunday Service Assistance: Serve behind the scenes and help create a welcoming environment for those attending worship.

  • Community Outreach: Participate in opportunities to care for others and share the love of Christ in our community.

  • Discipleship and Fellowship: Help foster meaningful connections and encourage others as we grow together in faith.

  • Practical Church Needs: Assist with setup, organization, and other projects that help our church serve faithfully.

Our goal is to help students find meaningful ways to contribute while serving with humility, faithfulness, and intentionality.

More Than a Service Requirement

At A Small Church, we believe the local church plays an important role in the life of every believer. Serving gives you the opportunity to move beyond simply attending church and become an active participant in its ministry.

As you serve, you can develop practical ministry skills, build relationships with other believers, and learn what it means to use your time and talents for God's glory. Our hope is that your experience will strengthen your faith and encourage you to remain involved in a local church long after your CSER requirement is complete.

We want to help you make your service meaningful, not just another item on your university checklist.
